Hello, my name is Andrés R Trujillo Viteri.
I am P.h.D Philosopher/Linguistic knowledge addict with +11 years of teaching experience. I am a native Spanish speaker and C2 English speaker. Also, I speak fluent Portuguese, and I'm learning Interslavic. I am an extrovert, so I try to make my classes fun and comfortable for calm students. Let me tell you a bit more about myself, besides being a forever student I am also a Jiujitsu lover, a Muay Thai enthusiast, and an adventure traveler. I love cooking as much as I love wine and a good book with great company.

I am going to help you learn the language and also about Latin-American culture, in that way you won't only speak a better Spanish, but you will also know how to use it in a day by day scenario without committing misunderstandings.

We will use different instruments such as songs, videos, music, as well as travel, formal, and, casual vocabulary. We will see the differences between the different kinds of vocabulary and of course we will have some fun because learning doesn’t have to be boring. I know that the language seems to be difficult at times but it can be very easy.

Andres is a great Spanish teacher in my opinion. He explains things very clear and has a very structured way of teaching. Beside of my grammar lessons we do lessons to improve my speaking and listening skils. It's a lot of fun.

Andres is a fantastic teacher! By using thoughtful examples, he really helps to cement understanding of complex concepts. His relaxed approach to teaching instantly makes you feel very comfortable (especially when making mistakes, in my case ;) ) I highly recommend working with him.

Andres is a fantastic teacher. His classes are the perfect mix of encouragement, fun, and challenges. He is always ready with a lesson plan and yet if I tell him there's an area I am having trouble with, he can accommodate our next lesson to deal with the problem area. Quite often he lets me select a subject to either talk or write about but once chosen, he pushes me to speak about it in Spanish with exactness and nuance. He is careful to make sure that my Spanish is correct but at the same time encourages me to speak with my own voice. My confidence in the language has increased dramatically over the last year and a half and I plan on continuing to take lessons from Andres for a long time. I have recommendeded him to everyone I know who is interested in Spanish and will continue to do so.

Andres is an excellent teacher. I have had many lessons in Italki, in several languages and he is the best. He will make you work hard, but you will also learn about his country Spain, or wherever he is currently living. You will laugh, practice speaking, learn grammar and also feel like you are chatting with an old friend of many years.
