I am a teacher here on Italki and I am from Dublin, Ireland. I am a native English speaker and I want to help you with your conversational English skills! In college, I studied sports coaching and nutrition. I am used to working with people, giving classes, and working 1 to 1. So I am no stranger to the teacher-student environment. At the moment, I'm currently in São Paulo! I love the Brazilian culture and I have been learning Brazilian Portuguese since 2018. I love music, travelling and working out. I am a black belt in Shotokan karate and I represented Ireland on the national team for 3 years at an international level.

As a teacher, I would describe myself as a kind and patient teacher. Having 10 years experience being in some sort of teaching position. I want to bring it here on Italki and help you. I enjoy when people ask me about my culture so please don't be afraid to ask. I put the student first in the class with their goals. My main goal is communication, to help you to be able to express yourself, improve your pronunciation, to incorporate slangs, expressions and other things you will use in your day to day life and to feel more confident speaking to a native English speaker!
To improve your speaking, you must talk. Mistakes are part of the process so don't be afraid to make them!دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
In my lessons, we will take different topics and situations you can find yourself in. From a basic conversation with your friend in a coffee shop to the workplace or a debate on a particular subject.
Each lesson we will take one or two topics and focus on key words and phrases in those particular subjects! Pronunciations!
My teaching style is very relaxed and natural so when you do come in contact with a native English speaker or a fluent English speaker you will have the confidence behind you to talk to them. I want the student to be comfortable and be themselves so they can enjoy the class a lot more. Just be yourself!

Uma aula incrível! Conseguimos falar sobre diferentes temas, assim como identificar os pontos em que eu realmente preciso melhorar. Senti bastante confiança e profissionalismo. Todas as vezes em que travei para falar, Craig foi super paciente e amigável. Apesar de também falar português, a aula foi 100% em INGLÊS, o que ajuda demais a não ficar na zona de conforto! O legal é que ele conhece as expressões brasileiras, então era fácil encontrar um equivalente no inglês, o que deixa a fala mais "natural". Tenho certeza que aprenderemos bastante juntos. Mal posso esperar para os próximos encontros! Thank you so much teacher Craig! (:

Almost 30 lessons into the journey, I can confirm that Craig is one of the best conversationalist I've met in my life! There's never a dull moment when we hop on a call to discuss everything from the current state of Mixed Martial Arts to the intricacies of the Japanese cuisine.
Craig is an exceptionally diligent and considerate tutor, which allows you to just start the chat and enjoy the natural flow of the conversation.

I like his teaching style which is a mix of conversation and news from the world. I like his accent which can be british or typically irish. That boosted my english, levelling it up. Thank you so much Craig.
