Maiko is very patient and encouraging. There is also no pressure when talking with Maiko. It’s fun talking with her even about small day to day things. She’s flexible when it comes to her students’ learning needs.

She also has great intuition as to which words I might be stuck on when speaking. I really appreciated that she would pause to check that I comprehended the word and if I didn't, she took the time to write it down and explain things to me. I was able to have a fun conversation while learning Japanese!
