Hi! I'm Xiomara.
I’m from Medellin Colombia where I currently live. I'm a professional language teacher, illustrator and fashion designer by trade. I am an extremely passionate person who loves art, culture and learning other people’s cultures!
I teach Spanish to students of all levels, those just starting off up to the most advanced level of Spanish learners. I particularly specialize in teaching Spanish to adults who are learning Spanish as their 2nd or 3rd language (though I am open to taking on children students as well!).عني كمعلّم
I have been teaching Spanish virtually and in person for close to 5 years and during that time I have seen incredible progress in my students (please see my video with a few of my student’s reviews if you’re interested).
My methodology of my classes are 100% tailored to each student’s personal tastes, preferences and strengths. My classes are focused on the use of real life scenarios, “commonly spoken” phrases and expressions, and listening to native teachers how they speak naturally.
My classes are not for those looking to practice conjugation tables, memorize vocab or any other “traditional” methods of foreign language learning commonly taught to adults.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
What I will be focusing on is teaching you what you actually need to know in order to listen, understand, and interact with natvie Spanish teachers quickly!
I put a lot of emphasis on helping my students achieve a good natural sounding level of “tonality” when speaking so that they feel more secure when putting the language into practice in a very friendly and relaxed environment to make learning actually fun!
In my lessons I use a mixture of different methods to help you achieve the level of Spanish you desire such as: conversation practice, tonality training, listeting, reading, grammar and vocabulary.

I have been taking Spanish lessons with Siomara, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Siomara has a great energy that makes each lesson enjoyable and engaging. She is excellent at correcting my errors and always provides helpful suggestions on alternative words or phrases to use, which has significantly improved my language skills.
