Hi!👋🏻 My name is Micah. I was born and raised near Seattle, USA. I began learning languages when I was 18 and loved it so much that I never stopped! I think the best thing about speaking another language is the friendships you can make with people who speak that language.

I have been teaching languages since 2013. I am TEFL and TEYL certified. I also know from my own experience as a student that meeting with a tutor can be scary. So I like to keep my classes as relaxed as possible while still being professional.
Each student has different goals and learning styles, so my first goal as a teacher is to get to know you better. I want to give my students skills that are relevant to their lives and interests.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
My teaching philosophy: I firmly believe that ANY person can learn ANY language. I also believe that people today don’t just learn by reading, but also by observing, watching, interacting and discussing.
Student Talking Time: I work to let my student talk as much as possible, so they get the practice they need and build their confidence in the language. Instead of talking a lot myself, I like to ask questions that get my students thinking and expressing themselves.
Variety: A bored student doesn't learn, so I like to keep things interesting by talking about topics that are important to YOU.الخبرة العملية

Interpreter/TranslatorDocument translation and face-to-face interpreting working with Arabic, English, Romanian, Russian and Spanish. Extensive experience translating/interpreting in a variety of settings, subjects and dialects. Interpreter for Reynolds School District, Oregon since November 2019. This work helps keeps my language skills sharp and reminds me that no matter how long a person has been studying a language, there is always something new to learn.
