I'm a native English speaker from the Boston, Massachusetts in the United States. I now live in Madrid, Spain as an English teacher. I've always loved learning languages and I'm excited to share that hobby with you! My other interests include music, composition, travel, and sports such as swimming, kayaking, and rock climbing.

عني كمعلّم

I have 4 years of professional experience as an ESL teacher for students with a broad range of English ability. I've taught kids between the ages of 3 and 18 years old, but my preferred method of learning has always been conversation, so in my teaching, I like to focus on the way native speakers really talk. It's important to understand and be able to correctly utilize proper grammatical structures, so I make sure that the student has a grasp on proper speaking technique before moving on to more casual speaking patterns. I hope to help you improve your English through interesting conversation!

دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي

As these classes are conversation-based, I like to focus on practical use of English and pronunciation. Although I don't believe there is any harm in having an accent, I will encourage pronunciation of native English vowel sounds in certain words and phrases so as to minimize miscommunication during conversation. I also like to base the conversation around topics that interest you, the student, as these will be most helpful to you when you speak English in the real world. Whether it be prepping for a job interview or discussing your favorite TV show with your friends, I want to be able to help you better express yourself in a new language.

I really enjoy my English lessons with Tatyana. She creates a comfortable atmosphere where we can talk about any topic, which helps me improve my speaking skills. Tatyana maintains a great balance between speaking practice and listening comprehension. She also regularly introduces new vocabulary, which helps me expand my language skills.
