Hi! My name is Yukari. I am a native Japanese speaker.
I learned English in England at a language school for about two years. I made a lot of friends from literally all over the world !
I got married to an American and I immigrated to the States with our son in 2004. I've lived in Arizona, California and am currently living in Texas.عني كمعلّم
Through teaching my son Japanese, I became very patient and I noticed that for some reason, some words or phrases cannot stick in your head. You might be embarrassed to ask me the same questions over and over but please don't be! That happens to everyone. It's just a part of the process for learning a new language!

While talking, I'll pick up and write down your mistakes but not fix them because I don't want to interrupt the flow of the conversation.
I'll tell you some of your mistakes and correct them or try to make it sound more natural at the end of each lesson and at the beginning of the next lesson. I'll remind you of your mistakes from the previous lesson.
The reason why I do that is because studies show that things are more memorable for the human brain at the beginning and end of an event.
You'll find out how effective my method is!

Yukari-sensei is a very good teacher. She is so patient and encouraging when I forget a word or need to say something slowly. I always learn something new and she is very helpful in showing me how words and phrases are used in everyday conversation.

I noticed that I still needed some guidance in English when having conversations in Japanese, so I was looking for a teacher who is also able to speak English as well as Japanese.
Yukari-sensei managed to give me minimal English pointers as I am learning those small phrases that are so important to keeping a conversation going.
She was patient and motivating while keeping me on track. Great first trial lession and already booked the next one.

It's been a while since I left a written review, but today was another great lesson by Yukari sensei! Has her material all ready for the lesson, and she is very flexible when I have questions or want to move ahead of schedule. Looking forward to next week!
