Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile.
My name is Haruna. I was born and raised in Japan, and I am a native Japanese speaker who speaks standard Japanese. I lived abroad in Seattle for six months learning English. My hobbies include traveling, cooking, taking photos, and visiting cafes. I also love meeting new people and learning about different languages and cultures.
I would be happy to help you achieve your Japanese learning goals.

I completed Japanese Language Teacher Training Course at university, and received a qualification to teach professionally. I have over 3,500 hours of experience teaching Japanese to students ranging from beginner to advanced levels over the past four years. Additionally, while I was in university, I volunteered in the United States to support students learning Japanese. I am also studying multiple languages myself, so I fully understand the challenges of learning more than one language. I have taken over twenty lessons with Haruna, and I must say that she is a professional, knowledgeable, diligent, and capable teacher. Haruna-sensei was very kind and I appreciated her thorough questions in order to get to know me and my learning goals. Though it was difficult to express myself at times, she listened patiently and asked clarifying questions to make sure she understood me. Haruna-sensei adjusted quickly to my level, and I felt that she was very willing to accommodate my requests for the lesson style. She provided useful information in the chat as well. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to study Japanese!

We took our chapter test today and I got almost every answer correct, even the ones where you put the sentence in order. It was a thrill. We spend a lot of time talking during our lessons about various events and activities, and it has really helped me in the workplace, which is why I'm training for the JLPT in the first place. I've noticed myself using more advanced grammar in conversation and when writing (typing). Thank you Haruna sensei!
