Hello. I am a native English speaker from South Africa. I am currently learning Spanish, as I live in Spain, and this experience has given me insight into teaching as it helps me to understand the struggles and joys of language learning from the students perspective. It is a privilege to be able to interact with a variety of people from all over the world to learn about different perspectives and cultures. I love seeing improvement in the student's ability to speak in English and help them to reach their goals.
I've been teaching English online for 7 years. I am a very patient and friendly person, and one of my main goals is to create a comfortable environment for you to feel confident to speak in. I am not a forceful person, as I prefer to work with the student to understand what the best way for us to work together is. I am a very good listener, and our interactions will be based on your interests.
My time teaching has taught me that every student is different. Some people prefer a more intense style of learning while others prefer a more relaxed and conversational approach. My teaching style is based on your preferred learning method, as well as the areas you feel you would like to improve. Thanks to our lessons I have improved my skills and become far more confident speaking English during the past year. Besides, I've just had a lot of fun.
Claire is very patient and has a great talent for creating a comfortable and trustful atmosphere in our lessons. She always gives me useful feedback and cares about my progress and overall satisfaction from the learning process.

I like the way, which Claire offered me, for improving pronunciation. Also, she explained me my mistakes from the test perfectly and gave me examples for better understanding these grammar rules. Lessons with Claire are always useful.

My long record of English lessons with Claire proves her excellent qualities as a teacher, ability to adapt to students’ requirements, and set attainable but challenging targets. Grammar, pronunciation, spelling and conversation are essential constituents of our lessons, all of the highest quality. Claire’s grammar explanations are concise and helpful, pronunciation advice is pertinent and helpful. Her neutral accent will be very helpful for beginners, prompting smart synonyms and expressions will be very helpful for advanced conversational practice.
