Hey guys my name is Carl. I am originally from Washington State in the United States.
I have many years of experience as a language learner and English tutor. I study foreign languages myself everyday. I know the importance of having one on one help from a tutor in language to help with pronunciation, provide cultural insights and introduce resources. I’m a careful listener. I’m very patient , curious and like to learn from my students about their lives. I will also help you improve your pronounciation.
I also enjoy sharing my experiences and personal insights.
My teaching philosophy is to help encourage you to stay interested in speaking English and help you push forward to advance to the next level in your never ending language journey!

I like to explore topics based on your interests and let conversations develop organically.
The best students self study everyday on their own and then find a tutor to put themselves to the test. A typical lesson begins by listening to your personal introduction. We usually talk about something that the student is interested in. Sometimes the conversation can be about movies or TV series, mobile apps, news, song lyrics, cultural differences and more. Carl was kind enough to let me book a class with him so that he could teach me the ins and outs of starting a podcast. He was incredibly easy to communicate with prior to our lesson and he provided me with a lot of useful information. I can tell that he's an incredible teacher by the way he explains extremely complicated topics that I have no previous expertise or knowledge in. He gave very clear examples and even provided numerous visual aids to help me understand!
I highly recommend Carl for any student looking to advance their foreign English skills, as well as English natives looking for an experienced mentor in the world of podcasting. Can't wait to speak with him again :)
