My name is Debalkew Kiros. I was born and raised up in Ethiopia, Addis Ababa the capital city of Ethiopia. I have Bachelor degree on Education from Addis Ababa University. I have served as a chemistry teacher for 36 years. Amharic is my first language and I Speak intermediate Tigregna. I also speak fluent English.
I am a father of two daughters and a son. After a successful completion of 36 years of serving students of my country, I am now a proud father of three independent children and a retired teacher with plenty students making me proud. I spend most of my time enjoying with my wife & grand children. I also do physical exercises a lot. I love exploring new things all over the world.عني كمعلّم
I have the ability, the time and the experience to achieve a successful Amharic teaching. In short, I will be the light in students journey to Amharic language excellence.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
1. For parents who are interested to teach their kids Amharic, my three decades of experience gave me the ability to handle students of different ages.
2. For students that are coming to Ethiopia for a job, I will select conversations related to their job and their day to day activities.
3. For students who are friends with, Dating, engaged/married with an Amharic speaker, we will learn all the basics of Amharic step by step and I will make sure that they understand not only the language but also our culture.
4. For students that want to learn Amharic for no specific reason, I will enable them to explore Amharic Alphabet in detail and all the 4 language skills.

My two years in the university led me to a better understanding of my country and our beauty in diversity. It was an big milestone towards independence and a bright future.

البكالوريوس - ChemistryAfter a practical experience following my Diploma in Chemistry, I have decided to update my self and progress my academical profile by adding bachelor of education in Chemistry in one of the most renowned academical institutes in the country, Addis Ababa University. It was another enriching, challenging experience. It once again added to my social understanding and development greatly.

Debalkew is a dedicated teacher who loves teaching Amharic. I can read Amharic now, and my vocabulary has increased. He is very organized with his lessons, and Debalkew sends me the slideshows that we went over in class. I enjoy having Debalkew as my teacher and plan to continue learning from him.

Debalkew Kiros is an excellent teacher. He is very patient and does a very good job of teaching how to speak Amharic. He also teaches how to read Amharic in a fun easy way. I have had 3 lessons with Debalkew and they have all been great, and they have helped me have conversations with my family.

Now that I am several lessons in, I remain impressed by Ato Debalkew's diligent and thoughtful approach to the Amharic materials that I needed assistance translating. These lessons will be invaluable to my graduate research. Very glad to be working with him!

I really enjoyed my Amharic lessons with Mr. Debalkew. He is a very friendly and patient teacher who made the lessons both enjoyable and easy to follow. He always explained things clearly and made sure I understood each concept before moving on. His positive attitude and encouragement made learning Amharic a great experience. I would highly recommend his classes to anyone interested in learning the language.

Today was my first Amharic lesson with Debalkew. He had an excellent presentation and was well-planned. I am excited for more lessons. I like the structure and plan for my progress over the coming months. :)
He gives examples throughout and explains very well.
