I am Asmelash from Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. I have a bachelor's degree in "Ethiopian Languages and Literature"; Masters in "Social anthropology"; advanced diploma in "Leadership and Social Change" and diploma in "Train the Trainers".
I am native speaker of Tigrigya and Amharic Languages and proficient in English.
I have several years of experience in training people in various subjects.
I am a coauthor of a book on Tigrinya proverbs and made some researches in Tigrinya language presented at different conferences.عني كمعلّم

الماجستير - Social AnthropologySocial Anthropology is the study of human beings, specifically focuses on the social aspect of a society. I gained on how to work with people at community level, research methodologies, and report writing.
2019 - 2022
البكالوريوس - Train the TrainersThe course focuses on adult education, starting from training need assessment, preparation of training materials, delivering the training and evaluating the training. This is a course also to train trainers. The course gives me a solid background on education and training. We had practical project as a requirement for graduation and I did three major training project for the course/

Folklore Expert and Head of the departmentI have worked at the Ethiopian Languages Academy first as expert in folklore and later as head of the folklore department. The folklore department consists of several Ethiopian languages including Amharic, Tigrinya, Oromigna, Wolayta, Kembata and others. I was specifically working in the Tigrinya section while I was an expert and involved in the Amharic section when I was head of the department.

Asmelash is a dedicated teacher. Learning Amharic is a challenge for me as I have no background in Semitic languages, but Asmelash has made it simpler thanks to his patience, dedication and by breaking the different aspects of the language down to simpler units. I am surprised how good my progress has been, already able to speak a few sentences and read a few words after just a couple of sessions. Looking forward to continue!
