Hello, I’m Martin and I teach French, Tagalog and English. I love reading books, watching documentaries and playing video games. I am into photography, and I do yoga too. I would love to perfect the art of making amazing crêpes for dessert or eggs for breakfast one day. :)
Having spent a huge chunk of my life learning foreign languages at home, at school and in different countries, I can assure you that I know the challenges a language learner faces. I've tried many techniques and strategies throughout my years of study, and I try my best to apply them in my teaching.عني كمعلّم

We will always start our meetings with a short introduction followed by a structured lesson on grammar, pronunciation, writing, etc. I create my lessons on a Google Document that we will use together in class. I use several materials for my lessons while also relying on my experience as a pedagogical engineer.
If you have specific needs, you may inform me a few days before we start, so I can prepare a lesson that is well-adapted to you. I give a lot of homework, so you can progress in your own time. :)

Martin is a great teacher who built up my Tagalog to where I had enough confidence to hold a conversation with my grandmother. His lessons are very well structured and as long as you do the homework you'll progress at a good pace.

Great lesson with Martin talking about the benefits of working in some places vs others, upcoming travel, and retirement dreams. Martin always is very professional, patient, and a lot of fun to chat with while progressing in my Tagalog journey!

Great lesson with Martin talking about cycling in Paris, life with kids vs without kids, how hard it is to take care of yourself and the importance of help around the house! Always such an engaging lesson with really great conversation and very helpful feedback and notes!
