Hi, I'm Nikki, an Australian English teacher with over six years of experience helping students from all over the world achieve their goals in General, Professional and Exam English. I would describe myself as an open-minded lifelong learner who is passionate about helping others, and loves getting to know people from all walks of life! I am extremely caring, patient and easy-going. In my spare time, I love travelling (I've been to almost 20 countries and hope to visit many more!), language learning (I speak 广东话, 普通话, français, español), painting, playing the piano, and learning about pretty much anything. I'm currently completing my second degree in psychology and neuroscience.عني كمعلّم
I'm confident that I'll be able to help you achieve your English learning goals, and here are some reasons why:
- I got the most internationally-recognised teaching certificate (CELTA) from The University of Cambridge with a "Pass-A", which only the top 5% of teachers can achieve.
- I am a polyglot, and my own successful language-learning experience means I can pass on the best learning methods to you.
- I am caring, empathetic, and extremely patient, so students of all levels and backgrounds feel comfortable with me.

Since no two students are the same, my lessons are adapted to YOUR needs. However, there are a few principles that I follow with all students because they are essential for successful language learning:
- I will encourage you to SPEAK as much as possible
- We will always RELATE language you learn back to YOUR LIFE
- I will teach you the best LEARNING METHODS
- Instead of learning words, we learn CHUNKS (groups of words that are used together)
- I will teach you to recognise PATTERNS so you can APPLY them in NEW SITUATIONS.
- I will CORRECT YOUR ERRORS in a gentle and patient way
- We will RECYCLE language so it stays in your LONG-TERM MEMORY

Nikki is the best teacher I’ve ever met.She is excellent,just like my friend. I can talk anything with her.Every class is happy. I had a pretty good memory with Nikki.And I am a boarder.And in the beginning of the term I missed Nikki a lot.That’s amazing.I never miss a teacher before. I learned a lot from her.She is so warm,clever and understanding.After having class with Nikki,I speak more like the native speaker. It’s been REALLY a fruitful class! Nikki is so fantastic a teacher — professional, insightful and supportive. She’s very good at spotting your weaknesses and problems then troubleshooting them with good methods. Her teaching style is very flexible and her class setup is personalized. I highly recommend her for any one who’s looking for an IELTS writing expert.
