My teaching began when I started teaching my overseas clients English pronunciation lessons because they told me they never had a chance to speak English at school with a native.
This became a weekly class in the Starbucks cafe and this is where my lesson format emerged.
I focus on helping students sound good, like a native and use methods to help their tongue and mind get around common difficulties.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
The lessons usually start with a 10-15 minute conversation of what is happening in the students life.
From that I will understand their level. I may take a news article to read together and discuss the way it is presented, written and spoken. That usually last 15-20 minutes. After that I will look at phrases and groups of words that can be pronounced together. Normally this entire lesson would be about 40-60mins depending on how the discussion goes.
I can give the student some tasks or exercises to practise before the next lesson that will help them sound better.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Ian is a fantastic teacher with a wealth of experience. His lessons are incredibly helpful and enlightening. He has identified the areas where I need to improve and has provided me with valuable exercises to practice, which have helped me to gain more confidence in my English language skills. I am very satisfied with his teaching and plan to schedule more classes with him in the future.

Ian's advice and techniques changed my speech and my text to sound like a stress-timed English from a robotic syllable-timed Japanese. Many thanks for showing me how to break down text and when to pause and stress some words.

I didn't notice how the lesson went and that's a good thing. Ian Clarke is an interesting person, it is a pleasure to communicate with him. We found many common topics that were interesting to talk about.
