My name is Richard, and I'm an English teacher and Cambridge-qualified IELTS instructor. I am from the UK, just two hours from London. I'm also highly experienced with the TOEFL test. I love to teach my language and culture to foreign students. Recently, I became a qualified translator of English - Brazilian Portuguese.
Outside of class, my passions include learning Portuguese and Spanish, guitar, running, cycling, and kickboxing.
I am also the host of the Love to Learn English podcast, which is available on iTunes & Spotify.

In my classes, we can develop your writing, reading, listening, speaking, grammar, and pronunciation skills. My classes are customized for each student, and I can be flexible in my approach.

I personalize my classes for each student as I strongly believe no two students are the same. In our first class, we will assess your level and create a plan to achieve your specific goals.
I do not teach young children (below 13).
I can work with students from a beginner to an advanced level. In particular, I am suitable for students who struggle to progress to the next level and are unsure how to improve.

I have been learning English with Richard since summer and I feel a huge progress.
First, I forgot about my language barrier. I used to get nervous when I was speaking in English. But now I am comfortable to speak in English and completly forgot about this feeling.
Second, this is my grammar skills. My favorite thing is that we often discuss how British and American people use this rule in common life. The big news was that native speakers do mistakes :)
3rd, I increased my vocabulary and I often use new learned phrases and words in a conversation.
In the end I would like to add that Richard is friendly, supportive and at the same time always controls your learning process doesn't give you to decrease your requirements.
