Hello!
I'm Petr, a certified Russian and English teacher. Welcome to my page!
A bit about me: I live in Moscow, Russia. I graduated from a linguistic university and have been teaching on Italki for 5 years.
I have a wide range of interests—history, literature, sports, movies, new cultures, and travel—so we will definitely find common topics to discuss. Over the years, I've worked with students from 20 different countries and believe that language can open any door. I'm always interested in learning about different cultures, and in our lessons, we often share stories about our countries and traditions.عني كمعلّم
For students studying Russian, I offer tailored lessons from A1 to C2. If you are a beginner, we will start from scratch. Russian is my mother tongue, and I'm thrilled to teach it to you!
For students studying English, I offer both traditional and conversation-based lessons. My goal is to help you speak with confidence, fluency, and accuracy.
Many moons ago, I worked as a journalist, so I never miss an opportunity to listen to your stories or share mine—in the language you're studying, of course. Personally, I prefer the communicative approach. I believe that speaking and listening are key, so we will communicate and listen to a lot of audio materials. However, we will also do a lot of reading—I believe that reading is the best way to learn new vocabulary.

Мне очень нравятся мои занятия с Пётром. Peter introduces new material slowly and reviews previous material with every lesson. He has me do vocabulary and grammar drills and exercises which are both enjoyable and challenging.

Пётр is such an amazing Russian teacher, and his English is perfect which makes it even easier. He is very structured, enthusiastic, and easy to learn with. He organises his lessons very well, and has a very structured plan which helps you move at a pace that suits you. I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to learn Russian, at any level! I'm enjoying my lessons with Пётр. This time though, we had problems staying connected in italki classroom and had to continue with a different app. Not a big deal, but I though the italki classroom would be more stable.
