Back from vacation and accepting new lessons! Hi everybody! It's great to meet you. My name is Ethan and I live in New York, where I was born and raised. I love traveling, music, dance, nature, and learning about people and cultures around the world, including languages.

While I'm not a professional teacher, I have helped students from all different places and language backgrounds to improve their English skills through lessons. One area that I think makes me unique is that, because I've learned several other languages, I tend to view the learning process from the student's perspective and use strategies and tricks to help you learn, understand, and retain the language.

I believe that when we learn languages, we need to be able to speak the language in a variety of situations, and therefore I like to structure the lessons in a way that will ensure you can manage both casual, everyday situations--including typical expressions, idioms, and slang--and unique scenarios that you'll encounter at different times in your life while working, studying, or traveling: For example, do you have the vocabulary you'll need to check into a hotel? To rent an apartment and complain about a leak in your shower? To ask a girl or guy on a date? In our lessons, I'll adapt to your interests while also making sure to challenge you and push your language skills to new levels!
