Hey everyone! I`m a journalist and native Spanish speaker from Bogotá, Colombia.
I can help you with your Spanish in a fun and easy way. In our lessons, we can talk, and write, but also sing, dance. We will train you to lose your fear of speaking Spanish and be able to correct your own grammar mistakes from the first class.عني كمعلّم
I can use the tools of journalism at the service of my students. If you have an intermediate level and want to reach the next step, ¡I will be happy to work with you! My focus is conversational practice, but we can also strengthen your writing skills.

I propose a structured conversational practice. I can choose the topic according to your hobbies or needs. We can talk about a podcast chapter, a newspaper article or the story of a recipe I speak slowly and I can hear you with full attention. Our class is your chance to make many mistakes as possible, so we can practice grammar. Te propongo una práctica conversacional estructurada. Tú puedes elegir el tema según tus gustos o necesidades. Podemos hablar sobre un capítulo de un podcast, un artículo periodístico o la historia de una receta. Hablo despacio y puedo escucharte con atención plena. Karen is one of the best teachers on Italki. She has experience teaching and it shows. Here classes are always very well planned and executed. She uses methods that work very well and I have seen a significant increase in my Spanish in the time that I have been taking classes with her. I would highly recommend taking classes with her.

Karen is an amazing teacher, and more than that, a fabulously intelligent and fun person to have a conversation with! She has given me priceless direction in finding music, podcasts and lectures in Spanish that are stimulating and engaging, and provide fuel for our lessons that fly by.
