Fangfang (Yiela)

My lessons with Fang Fang are completely tailor-made and designed around my needs. She always brings interesting content and guides me when I don't know a word or I mispronounce. I really could not recommend her more, and I always look forward to our next lesson!

I've taken over 80 lessons so far with Yiela. I started with zero knowledge except for some tone and loan word knowledge from Vietnamese . And after half a year I'm not only starting to pick up pronounciation and basic grammar but am able to get a good grasp on reading characters. She's always punctual and supportive and has a good sense of went to progress through each lesson or hang back and improve on the current subject matter or revisit something that may have slipped your mind. Will always explain answers to questions you may want to ask. Very satisfied and happy to have her as a great teacher.

I had really bad anxiety at first (like anyone learning a language for the first time) when I first started booking lessons with fangfang. Today was my third lesson with her, and I felt like even after just three classes together, I've gotten a lot better at responding to her questions and not feeling as anxious. Seriously, she's a fantastic teacher, if you're not sure about it, book a lesson with her! She's really helped me a lot with my listening and speaking skills.

Yiela Lao Shi was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We set goals during this first session and went straight to work, focusing on my pronunciation and vocabulary. The conversation also flowed smoothly. I am very thankful with the class and am looking forward to future classes.

I always struggled with the listening segment on the mock TOCFL exams, and after taking lessons with Fangfang for a little over a month, I not only began passing the mock TOCFL exams, but I ended up passing the real one, as well! Highest possible recommendation I can give for a teacher, she's great. Book a lesson with her if you're serious about improving your Chinese!

Very enjoyable, and I don't feel any negative attitude towards trying and failing. She will correct me gently which is a very important aspect for me. It keeps me motivated and not discouraged.
