Hi there!
I have been teaching on italki since 2018 and in that time I have taught over 2000 lessons, with more than 300 different people.
I am a 27 year old, native English speaker. I grew up in England, but my father is from California and I went to an American international school, so I can teach both US and UK English.
Currently, I am living in Barcelona, Spain, doing a master's in philosophy with cognitive science.
I'm also a meditation instructor and help people to become more skilled with their minds and increase their well-being.
I've studied French and Spanish on italki, so I understand both sides of the teacher/student experience here!عني كمعلّم
Often I see that people's English abilities are better than they realise. I'm here to give you the confidence to express yourself.
I believe the student should speak more than the teacher.
I am very patient and my priority is to help you learn and improve your English.
My lessons are impersonal and laid-back, BUT I am diligent when it comes to correcting and will politely correct any mistakes you may make.

My lessons are unstructured, but if there is something specific you would like to work on (e.g. phrasal verbs) or I see that you need improving in some area we can focus on something specific.
At the end of each lesson, I will send you a document with corrections of words or phrases we covered during the lesson so you can review them.
I am a philosophy graduate and I like to engage in creative writing (so I write a lot). Many people have told me I am a good writer and so if you need help correcting an essay or a written piece of yours, I can help with that.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

I can’t believe it’s been 100 hours of my lessons with Roger. But I know for sure that I enjoyed every single one of them.

Every class when it ends and I receive this notification “ how was your lesson ? “ I spend a few minutes thinking about it .. Then I choose to rate ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ without writing anything, because I feel that words in our life aren’t enough to explain how great Roger is.
I had more than 100 English classes with Roger and for me they are more than 100 classes about life.
Thank you Roger for every thing you taught me .. your questions and your ideas ..which I spend my days thinking about them

It was a beautiful learning journey with Roger. Full of deep and meaningful conversations. Filled with laughter and joy. We shared happy and challenging moments of our life and I literally can't even imagine having had these lessons with someone else.
