I'm a native English speaker from New York City and I just recently moved back to the NYC area from Spain, where I was living for the past seven years!
I'm fluent in Spanish, I'm an intermediate speaker of Italian, and I'm an absolute beginner in French. As a language learner, I know how frustrating and nerve-racking it can be to learn a new language - that's why I love to help people from all over the world to learn both English and Spanish!
I enjoy dancing salsa, doing yoga, hiking, and being near the ocean. I also love to learn about different cultures, languages, and peoples. I hope to meet you soon and learn all about where you're from!عني كمعلّم
I believe that the best way to learn and improve is by feeling comfortable and smiling during your classes. I do everything I can to make you feel comfortable, smile, and feel confident speaking and asking questions. I also like to choose topics that you are interested in so that you can stay motivated in your language learning and language practice.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
All lessons are based on the communicative approach to language learning. This means supporting you and getting you speaking as much as possible during the lesson.
Conversation lessons include natural conversation and prepared topics. Students typically receive a video or podcast to watch *before* the lesson so that we can use the video as a base for our discussion and so you get extra listening practice. I provide corrections, feedback, and suggestions throughout the lesson.
Personalized lessons are also conversation-based, but also include homework that are based on your needs and goals and a Google Doc or Notion page to keep track of homework, vocabulary, phrases, and corrections.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

I love taking classes with Jessica! The conversations are super chill, and she keeps track of everything we learn, so we always know what to work on. If you go for the classes with homework, she sends plenty of material to keep you improving until the next session. Totally recommend her.

I always look forward to conversational lessons with Jessica. Thanks to her method I see great improvements in my speaking skills and also through the various podcasts and videos, which we talk about during the hour, I'm learning many new words I can immediately put into practice.

I recommend lessons with Jessica. Lessons are nicely organized, with interesting materials and topics, and at the end, we get a great document with a summary of the lessons, which makes it easier to review.
