Hi I'm Bamboo, I am a Chinese teacher and project manager in famous company and work with Apple, Sony, Dyson and so on in my daily life. For the last three years my main interest is teaching languages and technology knowledge to my students and different people I met. I love to watch movie, read comic book, novel and technology news. Therefore, you can discuss anything in my class and learn together. Before discussing and learning Mandarin together, I'd like to know what is your Mandarin level that we can focus on what you want and which area I can help you to improve during our class. We can speaking, grammar, pronunciation etc. I will help you to meet your target. I have free style in our lesson. In order to meet to our target, I need to know our goal and customized our lessons according our first class discussion.
We can talk about anything in our class. For example: current events, daily life and new in China and Taiwan etc.
Also, if you have any interests that you want to learn, I can prepare material first and make our lessons more efficient and productively.

Bamboo is an exceptional tutor, blending encouragement with innovative teaching methods. Unlike previous tutors, Bamboo's positive attitude makes learning Chinese both engaging and enjoyable! As a beginner, I particularly valued the unique method of recording our conversations. Bamboo would record my attempts along with the correct pronunciations and then replay them, allowing me to understand exactly how to pronounce the tones. After the lesson, he sent me these audio files for further practice. This technique is incredibly effective in improving pronunciation and boosting confidence. I highly recommend Bamboo to anyone embarking on their Chinese learning journey. Looking forward to more lessons!

After trying out many Mandarin teachers I found Bamboo to be the best! He is excellent at helping you learn the vocabulary, but especially the pronounciation. If you're JUST STARTING to learn Chinese he's the only teacher on iTalki I'd recommend.
