I am aprofessiona Arabic language teacher, Literary critic. I have Career Certificate for Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language(CCTAFL) from the American University in Cairo (AUC)I got a BA in Arabic language and literature and two diplomas in Teaching Arabic, educational psychology. I also have a MA and PhD in Literary Criticism. The subject of my study was the psychological literary approach and its application to some Arabic novels, as I have a passion for studying linguistics and analyzing literary texts and I have taken many courses in self-awareness, memory, recollection, and how to use the mind in learning everything new. I also have some articles on psychological literary criticism.عني كمعلّم
Teaching isn't just a job for me but it is a life to interact with different nationalities and to share our cultures. For me,There is no happier than seeing the joy of my students eyes when they are able to use the Arabic language & enhance it day by day.
I customize my teaching approach based on my student’s needs & goals. Also I seek to improve my student confidence in using the language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) with a focus on everyday lifeدروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
For my methodology of teaching, I rely on students’ needs and goals.
I use many books to fulfill my students' learning needs. I will provide you with worksheets, audio and video files, pdf and word documents, and powerpoint materials. I use Google Docs to share and work on documents. After passing each level there is an assessment to move to the next level, My lessons are fun, interactive, and amusing! Hello. My daughter has finished 11 lessons with DR Sara Mahmoud. The lessons were awesome, and I do happy with her progress. Before that my daughter doesn't know anything about Arabic language, but now she can read, write, understand and answer the common questions. Especially I would like to emphasize the qualities of DR Sara Mahmoud. She is honest, kind, open and experienced person. She is focused in reaching your aims and adapts the lessons for you if it needed. I do recommend having classes with DR Sara Mahmoud. Hope to continue work with her. Thank you.

We had a nice cultural exchange comparing the themes of one of William Butler Yeats's most famous poems with a song by Abdelhalim Hafiz. Some of the vocabulary was a little challenging, but we worked through it. The assignment for next time is to listen to Abdelhalim's song in its entirety for comprehension, pronunciation, and introduction to additional vocabulary. I appreciate Professor Mahmoud's patience when I struggle a bit.

I really enjoy the class with Sara. She is very good at teaching, we repeat the vocabulary enough and practice the pronunciation thoroughly. Absolutely recommended for beginners!
