If you are good with grammar but have trouble speaking and using it in conversation, Soo Young will be an effective teacher. Her methods force you to think in Korean and use the grammar being taught. You are forced to associate the grammar patterns with personal experiences and opinions. Because of this association, I think speaking and using the new grammar will come to mind on the spot more easily when you are conversing with Korean people. I feel like over time she will be able to help me achieve my goals.

Initially, I had trouble making compound and complex sentences, but all my worries faded away when I attended Miss Kim’s class. My learning experience with her has improved my grammar and vocabulary significantly and made me more enthusiastic and confident to practice Korean in speech and writing. She sets her expectations clearly and cares deeply about her student's progress. Moreover, she has an inspiring and amiable personality and is easy to connect with.  I appreciate all her efforts and will keep on attending her class  : )

Soo Young Kim was so approachable, warm and encouraging. Kids instantly liked her and engaged well. Lesson was organized and homework was helpful too!

I love my lessons with 수영쌤! She is great at explaining grammar points and vocabulary. I appreciate that she builds in a lot of time to practice using the grammar and vocabulary from the lesson rather than quickly moving from one activity to the next without allowing for you to digest the new information. She is a wonderful teacher and I would recommend her Korean curriculum lessons to anyone looking to learn or review grammar in a fun and non-stressful way.

The past two classes have been very tough, but as usual she’s very patient and works with you. Can’t recommend her enough.

The professor is very well prepared and corrects you immediately when you make a mistake. She also explains things to you in a way that you can understand, always in Korean, and always taking the time needed to ensure you really understand. I think this method helps a lot with the learning process. After correcting the homework, each lession envolves studiying a new grammar point in an active and varied way until it is clear and I am able to really use the grammar rule in written or spoken sentences. During the lesson, you have the chance to practice every aspect of the language (reading, listening, speaking, and writing, with homework), while learning the specific grammar of the lesson. The professor adapts to your level in a challenging way. I feel like I'm making a real progress towards my goal, much faster and more effectively than before. I would definitely recomend her!
