Hello, you! My name is Thiago Alencar, and I’m from Brazil. I’m 26 years old and currently studying Linguistics, Portuguese, and English in college. As part of my studies, I often dive deep into Portuguese. I love my culture and am passionate about sharing it with others—I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it too! Brazil is a vast and diverse country, and I’ve had the chance to explore many of its unique regions. I've spoken with Thiago for about a year now, and I, as a Middlebury Language School Alum with ˜˜C2 proficiency, can confidently state that he is a top-tier language teacher. You do not need to look elsewhere to learn Brazilian Portuguese. He consistently tests the limits of your Portuguese proficiency, both in terms of grammar and comprehension, in a way that provides continual progress in the language. He is someone who is dedicated to language education and committed to his country. Both of these are essential to grasp the true complexity of a language as rich as Portuguese (BR) and its culture. If you are serious about improving your Portuguese, start taking classes with Thiago. You will advance quicker than in any traditional classroom setting, and the work you do won't feel like 'work'. Don't complicate things, study with Thiago!
