Hey there, I’m Thato, and I’m from Lesotho. I hold a Degree in Audiology, which I acquired at the University of Pretoria. My profession deals with hearing and balance disorders in adults and children alike, and therefore during my practical assessments, I have worked well with both populations. I have most recently acquired a L5 certificate in teaching English, which has given me a lot of insight on how to go about teaching English to non-English speakers, how to choose which materials to use in my lessons, and the differences in teaching different age groups and what can be required of me as a teacher. In my spare time, I love watching TV, listening to music and reading.عني كمعلّم
I recently acquired my Level 5 English teaching certificate from i-to-i TEFL. This course equipped me with all that I need to know on how to plan an English language lesson, and how to adapt the lesson to different age groups and different language levels. I will therefore be able to cater to all types of students, no matter their age or their level of knowledge of the English language. I will support my students throughout their entire learning process by making sure that I teach adequate amounts of new information that is relevant to them, making sure that the previously learnt information has been well understood, before teaching the new vocabulary or grammar.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
The first thing I do is identify my student’s language level and identify their language needs in order to be able to draw up a lesson plan that is relevant and use materials that are interesting to them. My lessons follow a PPP model and guided discovery. The main one being PPP, wherein the new vocabulary or grammar is introduced to the students, then the students get time to practice the new learnt language in a safe environment. The production stage leads the students to produce the language in a scenario that resembles a “real-life” situation. With guided discovery, the students are led to discovery the language on their own with the help of the teacher.موادي الخاصة بالتدريس

Level 5 TEFL certificate - i-to-i TEFL - 2021This was a 180 hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language course. This course equipped me with all that I need to know on how to plan an English language lesson, and how to adapt the lesson to different age groups (young children, teenagers, and adults) and different language levels (beginner - proficient). To cater to all types of students, no matter their age or their level of knowledge of the English language.
