Hello, my name is Suhyeon.
I’m a native Korean living in Seoul, so I teach using standard Korean. At my university, I majored in Korean Language Education as a Foreign Language. I also have a Korean language teaching certificate from the National Institute of Korean Language. I believe that Korean should be spoken in class as much as possible to be fully immersed in Korean language and culture 😊عني كمعلّم
👩🏫 As a teacher, I think that the most important thing when you are learning a foreign language is to not be judged for making a mistake when practicing. I always try my best to make students feel like they can learn in my class with helpful feedback. I have experience teaching students from different countries, so I understand how difficult it can feel learning a new language.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
📚 If there are certain topics or study material you want to learn like useful phrases when traveling in Korea, learning Korean using articles, or learning song lyrics then classes can be changed to fit that purpose.
📃 For more structured classes, I use PowerPoint to highlight key points with pictures, words, and audio. After class I will send you a homework pdf file so that you can practice reading and writing. I can also give feedback once you finish the homework and send the file.

It’s been a year with 선생님 and I’m so thankful for her teaching me and I feel I’ve improved a lot. Love how 선생님 prepares the materials and teach. I really enjoy her lessons. Her homework, quizzlet and also Google docs help so much in reviewing the grammar and vocabulary.

During my years at university, my Korean had gradually become worse. But having lessons with Suhyeon has helped me gain the confidence to speak Korean often again. She is patient, open to lesson suggestions, has great teaching material, and guides me when I make mistakes. Can't wait until the next lesson!

I’ve learned so much with Suhyeon and I always have a lot of fun with her! The materials she uses are so helpful and she’s very patient when we practice speaking. It motivates me a lot to learn more Korean.

I've taken 2 speaking lessons with Suhyeon and I've been enjoying it a lot so far! Even though I went into the lessons feeling super nervous, worried I wouldn't be able to hold a conversation for long, somehow it felt like time just flew by and the lesson was over before I knew it!
Something I find really helpful is that she helps me correct my sentences by repeating what I'm trying to say in a natural way after I'm done speaking. She does so without interrupting my flow which I find really encouraging :)))
