Hello, my name is Bam. I was born in Thailand and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from King Mongkut University in Thailand. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in the Faculty of Business Administration at Birmingham City University in England. I am fluent in both Thai and English languages. In my free time, I like to be productive, which is why I decided to become a teacher at italki. I believe we can discuss interesting topics while improving our Thai language skills together. I strongly believe in the transformative power of education. I aspire to become a teacher because I see it as a means of contributing to a more knowledgeable and empathetic society. By educating upcoming generations, I can play a role in shaping a better future. Additionally, I want to pursue teaching because I believe that everyone should have access to high-quality education, irrespective of their background or circumstances. I used to have conversations with my students. These talks were more about providing encouragement and suggesting steps to help them improve, rather than just pep talks. I see each session of my course as a unique group with its own culture that needs to be nurtured. I share this viewpoint with my students, telling them that they are different in each class they attend, with their own confidence level and sense of what they feel entitled to have an opinion on. I am really enjoying learning with Ban (Nitiporn), her lessons are both interesting and enjoyable and I feel I am making good progress. I asked Bam to focus on helping me improve my Thai writing skills and she has prepared engaging lessons with gradually increasing challenge. Bam shows a genuine enthusiasm for helping me reach my goal and her positive attitude is a key factor keeping me motivated to improve. I am taking a short break to travel and look forward to continuing to study with Bam when I get back.
