Hello my name is Maria and I am currently living in my homeland, South Korea. Before that, I lived in California for over 30 years studying education while also raising my 3 children! And going even further back into the past, I actually originally immigrated to Argentina first and spent 3 years there speaking only in Spanish and attended Buenos Aires University for a bit (yes, sometimes I can’t believe the adventurous life I’ve lived)!

I want to share my rich experience in language learning along with the different cultures as well. As someone who is bilingual (and at one point, trilingual^^) and had to learn 2 different foreign languages at an older age, I understand how challenging language learning can be. But I also believe that learning languages goes beyond words and experiencing the culture is as equally important.دروسي وأسلوب تدريسي
I welcome all levels! You can be a beginner or advanced learner!
We will focus on speaking and slowly incorporate important grammar patterns.
Whether you want to learn Korean or English, I'll send you key learning points and voice recordings for you to go over after our lesson^^ I can't wait to meet you~

If you tell Maria쌤 that you want to speak like a seriously real korean, she will do everything to help you! i really want to get my pronunciation in check, and so she does a great job in stopping me, making me speak slower and really speak like a true Korean. it's not easy and even tho im not perfect, im glad to get constant feedback.

Learning Korean with Maria is the joy of my week! She is patient with me and I really appreciate how she simplifies things to first principles. I have learned a lot so far and I'm looking forward to learning more next week.

I can't believe that it has already been 9 months with Maria! Honestly, I see her more than I hang out with my friends lol! I regularly surprise myself with how much I remember every time I'm in lesson thanks to Maria's style of teaching! In my recent lessons, Maria has been correcting my pronunciation, so that I can speak Korean without too much of an accent. She makes me feel respected by challenging me. I cannot even count how many times I have had to repeat sentences until I get the nuances of the pronunciation just right, but Maria knows that I thrive on it! I cannot recommend her enough!
