Experienced native English teacher for Adults and Children I have completed my High school in a Small Town in Mpumalanga and went to Gauteng to study Education at the Teaching College. After completing my Diploma in Foundation Phase (Kindergarten to Gr3),I started teaching at Primary school. I continued part-time studying a Computer-based teaching Degree through Pretoria University I also recently completed my TEFL/TESOL certificate With my qualifications, I can teach in both English & Afrikaans but I prefer the relaxed and easy conversational method, but if you need additional help I can also assist with more intermediate and advanced lessons.

I have a HDE qualification, that is a 4 year diploma in teaching. I love teaching languages, especially to foreign tongue users. I taught English to Chinese, Xhosa, and Afrikaans students. Currently I am teaching 2 Turkish students to speak Afrikaans. I draw up my own lessons, focusing on communication. Afrikaans is a relative new language and is 1 of the 11 official languages in South Africa. I am excited to teach the whole world about my mother tongue.

Initially with a new student I would start off with general conversation in order to gauge your specific needs. Once we have determined those needs, with both your own and my input in the discussions I will progress to more structured lesson plans.
