My name is Olga or Helga and I am here to teach Bulgarian, Dutch, Swedish and Norwegian. I am open-minded, creative and communicative. These skills help me teaching in an amusing and interesting manner.

I will aim to help students improve their communication skills. As a tutor I am patient and I will make sure that the student is comfortable with speaking English or Dutch as a foreign language. As English is not my native language, I too had to learn how to speak English. With my success in learning how to speak English, I will hopefully become a good role model for my future students.

As a teacher I always set the goal to teach at international school level with the highest expectations while keeping a fun, proactive and interactive teaching and learning approach.

To create this we have to build a good foundation by understanding grammar, and find a flow by practicing conversation. I want to create mostly a comforting atmosphere. Enthusiastic teacher with fun tricks to remember new words and verbs I am very involved and like to think about what the student needs, how I can provide him/her with books/videos/music/grammar/text files etc to fulfill the students learning needs, also looking for more unique ways to learn, for example by making a rhyme or a song with the words the student wants to learn. I am passionate about learning languages and I like to listen carefully to the student: what does he/she wants to learn and how does he/she wants learn? I will make a study plan according to the students wishes.

So during our conversations or an exercise I will mainly let you go ahead and discuss some corrections later, instead of constantly interrupting you. The most important thing is that you get a lot of practice with the language, that speaking Dutch becomes comfortable for you and that you show progress instead of shutting down because you're striving for perfection :)

I studied science and technology at the Leeuwenborgh institute In the Netherlands and my job was training new employers to get ready for their job. In Thailand I started to teach at the local primary school of my village. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to get my TEFL certificate and did additional courses for natural learning, specially for kindergarten kids.
