I am patient, friendly and understating teacher with excellent interpersonal relationship.As a teacher, I understand that every person is different so am able to tailor lessons according to individual's needs and personalities. In my class I do not interrupt students and I encourage them to be free and themselves as we (the student and I) build their confidence. My classroom is fun and interactive as this is the best way to learn a new language.

Tusome (Let's learn Swahili) I find great joy in sharing knowledge with my students and watching them grow in confidence as they learn to hold conversations and communicate clearly. Patience and understanding are virtues I deeply value, especially in the context of teaching a language. These qualities help create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. My goal is to guide each student at their own pace, fostering not only their language skills but also their self-assurance in using the language in real-life .

I use and develop evidence-based strategies to guide progress. My Swahili methods work—they are practical, clear, and rooted in experience. For six years, I've taught Swahili to refugees and relatives of Swahili speakers abroad, with prior roles in music education and university instruction. I keep lessons down-to-earth and to the point—I also embrace the importance of humor in the learning process! My goal is to help you feel confident, capable, and equipped to meet your Swahili and English goals—step-by-step.
