I worked a part-time job today, but otherwise, I didn't have any other plans. So, I thought I’d share a bit about something I loved. I’ve always really liked Sanrio, when I was little, I used to go to their theme parks often to enjoy the shows. The whole atmosphere is just so cute. The characters are cute, too. And I love taking photos of them. My parents used to take me there in the past, but I haven't gone as often lately though I’d ​​really like to visit again.

Today was my birthday, but it wasn't a very birthday-like day. I woke up early and went to see an ophthalmologist. I went to the hospital because I wanted to put in my contact lenses, but I couldn't get them in. Afterwards, it was raining so I went home and took a nap, and it was already dark when I got back.

I watched movie with my mother in my house. It's called Demon slayer. Main Character died when the movie ends.I felt sad. I played Pokémon black, but I can't win battles. I want to play new games in this summer vacation！ After that, I draw a picture. I had the freedom to do what I want. I was able to rest today.

Today I slept all day because I was very tired. I finally got a lot of sleep after a long time. I feel much better now. But the World Cup match against Brazil is coming soon, so I think I will not sleep enough again. I can’t wait to watch it!

I got up at eleven thirty because yesterday I was doing my homework stayed up late. Today typhoon is coming so outside is very rainy but it is no problem for me. I went to the gym by bike today. The gym was very crowded. Why people go to the gym despite the typhoon. I can’t understand it. Today I was free so I trained many hours. I trained my back and leg and shoulders and chest muscles.

Today, a typhoon brought very heavy rain. The weather was terrible, and it rained hard for most of the day. I stayed indoors as much as possible because it was not safe to go outside. I spent my time watching videos, studying, and relaxing at home. I hoped the weather would improve soon. Even though the rain was very strong, I was glad that I stayed safe.

I came across an online article about "cloudburst". I would like to share some of the key points here. The article said cloudburst is a phenomenon that is pouring rapidly in limited area for very short time. Honestly, I have never heard the phenomenon before, but I thought it was similar to liner rainbands. The prefecture I have lived faced the natural disaster in 2014. Many houses got completely washed out and many people were killed by the debris flow. That was why I never forget the phenomenon "Liner Rainbands". However, they have different features such as the following, 　　　Liner rainbands 　　　　　Cloudburst Duration for hours 　　　　　　　　for 30 minutes to an hour Area 　dozens of kilometers to hundreds a few kilometers to dozens Rainfall 　hundreds of milimeters 　　　 100 milimeters The affected area size is different, but the houses and roads in those area will take heavy damage such as houses collapsed and roads are flooded. In case of liner rainband, lots of thunderheads spreads belt-like and have stayed the same location for hours while it has been raining there. On the other hand, one thunderhead causes torrential rain in limited area and I guess it might be similar to a sudden downpour called the "Guerrilla Rainstorm" in Japan. Cloudburst often occurs in areas with a monsoon climate and in mountainous areas. That's why cloudbursts are observed in the foothills of the Himalayas. Japan is also strong affected by a monsoon climate and it often brings the rainy season, typhoon and torrential rain to Japan. So, I'm worried about whether the phenomenon happens in Japan as well. Actually, two typhoons have been moving across the country and they were wreaking havoc in some regions. I really hope the typhoon diminishes in strength as soon as possible.

Today, I stayed at home because of the typhoon. I have a terrible migraine, so I feel really sick today. I wanted to rest all day, but I have to go to my part-time job later. Even though I don’t feel well, I will do my best and work hard. I hope I can finish my shift without any problems and get some good rest afterward.

I was supposed to go to Disney with my friends from university today. However, we postponed our trip because a typhoon was coming and the weather forecast said it would rain. We also canceled our plans to hang out. So, I decided to go shopping for clothes in Tokyo by myself. I wanted to leave in the morning, but I took my time getting ready, so I left in the afternoon. I wanted to visit many stores, but I don’t think I have enough time. First, I’ll go to the store I wanted to visit the most. If I still have time, I’ll go to some other stores too. I hope I can find some cute clothes. I’m really excited!

Yesterday, there was a big earthquake for the first time in a while. Today, a typhoon came, too. It made me feel a little scared because both happened so close together. Our outdoor class was canceled because of the typhoon. I hope the weather gets better soon and everyone stays safe.
