The trial lesson will be used to learn a few things about my student and then we will talk about the certain things that you already know in the Xhosa language and we can start building on that. If you are a complete beginner, I will teach you the basic things such as, greetings, colours, names of objects etc. We will also practice making short sentences, so that you can start speaking fluently with your Xhosa speaking family and friends.

The Xhosa language basics consist of:
- learning the alphabet (so that you are able to pronounce words correctly)
- pronounciation
- verbs
- frequently used vocabulary
- naming objects and colours

I will share documents and play online games with you, so that you can practice using the words correctly. We will also have basic conversation to get you comfortable when speaking isiXhosa.

Xhosa Language Basics

This lesson is about you and I practicing daily conversations. We can talk about any topic which you would like to talk about.

Conversational Xhosa

I will teach your children basic Xhosa words and how to pronounce them. They will learn names of colours, objects, places etc. They will also be able to say sentences in Xhosa. I will use flashcards, listen-to-speak activities, Powerpoints etc.
