We will spend some time discussing your level of English now, the goals and objectives and what level english you hope to achieve by taking lessons with me, your learning style or the types of lessons you prefer, and what parts of your English language ability you believe you need to work on or would like to improve. We will not spend the whole lesson doing this portion, because I hope to move on to a short, but useful and engaging lesson and hopefully you will finish this trial lesson having learned something new!

**This is ONLY SPEAKING/CONVERSATION**
In this lesson, I will give you the opportunity to engage in conversation, allowing you to practice both listening skills (as I speak) and speaking skills (as I will prompt you to speak). I will seek to engage you in conversation, asking questions and giving you the space to speak freely and express yourself, while also providing corrections as you speak to assist you in recognizing correct form and usage. Beyond that, to help you learn to recognize specific constructions and vocabulary, I will offer explanations for any corrections that I make if necessary, but we will not focus too much on grammar in these lessons.  We can talk about anything you wish, I have many interests and have also studied in great detail many different topics. Topics can include, but are not limited to, personal life (family, friends, hobbies, profession, dreams, ambitions, ecc), film and television, video games, science, finance and economics, sports, current events, music, books, and so on. Most importantly we will talk about YOU, because learning a language is much easier and comes more naturally when we are learning how to talk about things that matter and are relevant to us.

A2-C2 Everyday English Speaking and Conversation Practice

I will introduce you to vocabulary and grammar, explain the function of various verb tenses, sentence structure, and help you reach an understanding of how, when, and why we use these forms. I will help you practice using the language with exercises, conversation, and so on, and assign homework (if you want!) to continue practicing your english grammar!

I will work with you to decide on one or more of the following types of lesson material: a news article, a book, a video, a film, a tv series, or other content in English. Using the chosen material, we can, based on your preference, either read/watch the chosen content together, and I can guide you along in understanding, explaining advanced grammatical structures or the construction of sentences, and helping reach a thorough understanding not just of the content, but also the way we use the language and why, or if you prefer, you can consume the content (reading or watching the material) at home as homework, and I can assign you homework questions about the material that test/challenge your comprehension, and in class we can then further discuss advanced grammatical structures and the construction of sentences, as mentioned before, to help you reach a thorough understanding of the content.

C1-C2 Advanced Language Level Activity

We will discuss which exam you will write and must prepare for, as each exam is different. I will discuss the structure and layout of the exam, how it is broken down and evaluated, and what you can expect to find in terms of number of questions, types of questions, length of answers, and so on. We will discuss the content found on the exams, and the types of arguments you need to be prepared to: read about and understand, answer questions about, write about at length, or speak about in front of an examiner. We will also practice your spoken english/conversation, but with a concentration on the specific arguments found on the IELTS and TOEFL examinations, preparing you to speak about the very same topics ahead of time.

40-hour teacher training specialization in teaching IELTS and TOEFL exam preparation, attached to the TESOL/TESL/TEFL Certification which included in-depth analyses of the IELTS and TOEFL exams, including, but not limited to: the history, necessity and development of the exams, the content found on the exams, how exams are evaluated, a breakdown of each section, what students need to know, how to prepare, what they must focus on, and what they must be prepared to discuss verbally or in writing.
