Gaelic is the oldest living language in Scotland and descends from Classical Gaelic, giving it a high level of mutual intelligibility with Irish and Manx. Despite being discouraged and in decline, Gaelic is currently undergoing a massive revival online and is a key part of Scottish culture. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
