Hello again! It has been far too long since I posted. My apologies! Make sure you do the quiz at the end, to test your knowledge. We are back with a fresh set of phrasal verbs. This set is all for cleaning, doing housework. This is what we cover today: clean up tidy up sweep/hoover/vacuum up wipe down put away dust off And here are all the examples from today: Hey honey, can you help me clean up the house before my parents visit? John! Clean up your room! I can’t even see the floor there’s so much stuff in there! Thanks for helping me clean up the garage a bit, it looked nasty before. Can you help me tidy up the living room? You can vacuum, while I take the dishes to the kitchen and fold the blankets. Please don’t walk in here right now, I need to sweep up the sand from our beach stuff. The barber needs to sweep up all the hair from the last client before I sit down. I’m going to vacuum up the dust I can see on the carpet. I’ve just got pasta sauce all over the wall, can you hold on while I wipe it down before we eat? The worst part of moving houses is wiping down the inside of the refrigerator before you leave. The politics section of my bookshelf never gets touched. I should dust it off, the tops of the books are looking dirty. After I dust off my lamps and bookshelves, I usually sweep up the dust from the floor. Make sure you do the quiz! Test yourself. See you next time!
