Content (adj.) means happy/satisfied. Content (noun) means material, usually non-physical. For example: The content of this movie is not suitable for kids. (aka the subject of this movie, the themes discussed, the events, etc.) Contents (noun) means physical materials that are inside of / make up something. "The contents of the box are on the table. He empties his pockets of its contents." Hope this helps!

Content is an uncountable noun. We use it when referring to the ideas or subject matter of something (e.g., the “content of a speech”). Contents is a plural countable noun. We use it for things in a container or for sections of a publication (e.g., book chapters in a “table of contents”).
