The book that had an impact on me is called “How Starbucks Saved My Life”. It is not about the store, but about a man who was kicked out of a giant advertising company in his fifties and ended up working at a Starbucks store. He was born to an elite family and received a prestigious education at Yale. At first, he was embarrassed to work in retail industry. He also had to work with people from different backgrounds and races. However, he finally managed to get through all the difficulties and found true happiness in working hard and seeing people just as they are. The book's message to me is that even if I’m in huge trouble, I’ll find a way out if I'm willing to take the challenge.
