I came across an article online about BCI and would share it here. Actually, I have never know the word "BCI" before. It seems like that BCI stands for Brain Computer Interface. It is also called "Human Brain Interface[HBI]" or "Brain Machine Interface[BMI]". It is an interface that puts on our body to transmit electrical signal from brain neuron to a computer. It detects a tiny electrical current in the brain and the change of blood circulation as signals. When we just have to think, the interface can help us operate a mouse, a keyboard and a robot arm. BCI has been researched since 1970s so that people, who have trouble acting their hands and feet due to diseases and accidents, will recover their lost ability by robots and computers. BCI was possible to operate a mouse and a robot arm in 2006. The research team in Brawn university in the U.S announced they succeeded in transmitting a large number of data wirelessly. Artificial Intelligence[AI] has recently been used to decode the pattern from electrical signals in the brain and blood circulation so that BCI matches what you want to do. I think this kind of technology can support and enrich our life in the future.

It was made possible to use BCI to operate a mouse and a robot arm in 2006. The research team in Brown university in the U.S announced that they succeeded in transmitting a large amount of data wirelessly. This is fascinating!
