The only problems with having a foreign accent are if it so strong that it interferes with comprehension, or if you are a spy!  Moreover, a foreign accent is often quite charming.

If they're speaking not with a very heavy accent, it sounds amazing, I like it. When they speak Portuguese, I can almost hear no accent because they pronounce words very clearly in Portuguese, better than the other ones who speak other romance languages!

I really like it. I love to hear the Russian accent, I am not quite sure why. Maybe it is because I had a friend in university from Russia named Alexi. He would always come up to me and say, Ey Mike! haha and then ask everyone if they liked the Red Wings or if they wanted to go get coffee :)

I find it pleasant-sounding in German. And yes, it seldomly hinders understanding. Especially as it's a very common one that everyone is used to.

I treat people with a Russian accent like I would Germans, because I assume they are immigrants who have been here for a while and "know the ropes". That is most often the case.

It depends what language you're speaking with the Russian accent. The Russian accent in English sounds terrible, no need to deceive yourself, in German quite decent, I'd say. Not that bad in Chinese, maybe...
