Wrong Spelling Of Your Name

Does it matter to you if someone made a wrong spelling of your name?

I had this experienced when someone wrote my name in a misspelled. They wrote it as Jhoy, Joi, Jhoi, and Joe instead of Joy .

If this happens, I immediately correcting them in a polite way by saying, "I'm not trying to be rude but you misspelled my name."

Do you experienced it and how do you tell them that it's not correct? :)

It does not really matter to me, but I have found that if I do not correct them and they later discover they have been writing it wrong for a long time, they seem embarrassed.  I think gently correcting them early on is the most polite thing if it is someone you are going to be interacting again with regularly.  If it is a stranger I do not expect to see again, I do not care and I do not bother to correct them.

@Joy, how one can write your name wrongly!!! Let me guess, the people who write your name may not be aware of the meaning of your name or may not be aware of that it's an English word for "a feeling of great pleasure and happiness". Right??

Among the names of my above friends, I found a bit hard to pronounce the name  @Trinh Nguyen but except this, I will not be wrong writing the names of @Liliana, @Katarina and @Qasem.:)
