Long time no hear from you! Hi Dan! What a great joy to receive your e-mail! I'm delighted to hear from you. I always felt a great sorrow when I lost sight of you after leaving university. I thought of you many times and I didn't even know you moved to New York. You look great in the photo, you haven't changed much. Maria is very pretty and Sam and Ben seem as if they were a bit naughty. Definitely, you seem like a very happy family. Please, tell me more about them when you answer, I'm looking forward to know more about them. At the end you got a great job, didn't you? I always thought you would get it easily since you always were a brilliant man. You can't imagine how much I'm glad you're happy with your work, you deserve it! As for me, well, I'm working as an Analyst Programmer for a software company. We have many projects but I'm always stressed because of deadlines. I guess I can't complain, can I? I never married and sometimes think that marriage wasn't for me. At this point in my life I don't know if I'm missing something. Since you ask about Rachel, the last I heard is that she went to live in Detroit. I think she was working on humanitarian projects or something. You already knew her, so cute! She was always convinced that she could change the world! As regards my parents, they finally moved to San Francisco. You know that my mother always loved it. They both are retired and seem very happy there, but now my father is having some health problems. I'm a little worried about him. It's great to know you're coming to Phoenix next month. It will be wonderful to see each other again. I can't wait to meet Maria. What a pity that children don't come! I'd have loved to meet them too. Maybe we can catch up with some beers like old times, can't we? Of course you can stay home, Dan, I have room to spare. Just tell me which days you're going to be so we can organize something fun. I'm sure you will like Phoenix. Hope to hear from you soon. Take care, Fernando

Long time no see! (This although sounds stupid, is a popular saying)

Hi Dan!

What a great joy it was to receive your e-mail! I'm delighted to hear from you. I always felt a great sorrow when I lost touch with you after leaving university. I thought of you many times and I didn't even know you moved to New York. You look great in the photo, you haven't changed much. Maria is very pretty and Sam and Ben look as if they can be a bit mischievous. Definitely, you seem like a very happy family. Please, tell me more about them when you answer/reply, I'm looking forward to know more about them. In the end you got a great job, didn't you? I always knew that you would as you always were a brilliant man. You can't imagine how much I'm glad that I am that you're happy with your work, you deserve it!

As for me, well, I'm working as an Analyst Programmer(sounds correct for me) for a software company. We have many projects but I'm always stressed because of the deadlines. I guess I can't complain, can I? I never married and sometimes think that marriage wasn't for me. At this point in my life I don't know if I'm missing something. Since you asked about Rachel, the last I heard is that she went to live in Detroit. I think she was working on humanitarian projects or something like that. You already know her, so cute! She was always convinced that she could change the world! As for my parents, they finally moved to San Francisco. You know that my mother always loved it. They both are retired and seem very happy there, but now my father is having some health problems. I'm a little worried about him.

It's great to know that you're coming to Phoenix next month. It will be wonderful to see each other again. I can't wait to meet Maria. What a pity that the children cant come! I'd have loved to have met them too. Maybe we can catch up with some beers like old times, can't we? Of course you can stay my house, Dan, I have room to spare. Just tell me which days that you're going to be here so we can organize something fun. I'm sure you will like Phoenix.

I hope to hear from you soon. (Although many people write how did, without the ''I'')

Take care,

Fernando

Beautifully written Fernando, vertually perfect. Very few mistakes of little importance.

I have corrected it for you to the best of my ability. I can only correct it how it would say it, rather that as a teacher, therefore it may not be gramatically correct but it looks correct to me.

Well done

Kind regards

Sounds nice and fluid!  Watch for the comma usage where a conjunction, a period, a dash, or a semi-colon should go (to separate 2 independent thoughts).
