I think that cell phones provide many advantages depending on how we use them. Prior to the cell phone, making emergency calls after accidents was impossible. If your friend was out in a pub you couldn't call him, and talking to family overseas was rare. There are many more advantages to cell phones, too. For teenagers, cell phones are a good way to meet people. If they have problems meeting people, text messaging may help. The cell phone has revolutionized the world. There are not many people without a cell phone today. It feels weird, but I love my cell phone because I can talk to my friends as often as I want, yet cell phones may have a downside to them.
The downside is that many teenagers spend too much time on their cell phones. I've seen people eating together who never speak during their meal because they are busy on their cell phones. This causes problems with social conversation and school work because teenagers can't put their cell phones down.
In conclusion, I admit that I'm one of them; I use my cell phone a lot too. We need to realize that excessive cell phone use makes our lives worse. We mustn't let cell phones master our lives, yet in spite of everything, I still believe that cell phones are the best technological invention ever.
