When someone asks me what I do for a living as a financial controller, is '재무 통제관' a commonly known expression or should I stick to '재무 분석가'?

Answer

To me, 재무 통제관 sounds funny.  통제관 is not used much, and the suffix 관 is usually associated with government posts.

재무 분석가 is fine, especially as a term for the  person's profession.

Someone in charge of the financial matters of a company or other organization may be called 재무 관리자 or 재무 책임자 (both meaning Financial Manager).

There are also matching terms substituting 회계 (accounting) for 재무, the difference being that of "finance" vs "accounting".
