I like the smell of it. I like what you've done with the place. 教科書などで勉強する場合は the way と how について書かれているところ、多分関係代名詞かな？the reason why と同じ文法ですね。 when speaking English というのは間違った使い方ではないですが、 Things not to do when speaking English のように 「英語を話すときに～」という意味になります。
