You want to know the difference between "terrible ,awful, horrible and scared" ? Here is the answer, "terrible " is often or more commonly used when describing how someone's performance was (job, entertainment, etc.,) For example , " he painted my room and it looked terrible ." "The way she dresses looks terrible " but this can also be used in reference to someone's character for example , "he lied to his mother ,he is such a terrible person " but in my opinion "terrible " is commonly used in the first two ways I described. Now, "horrible " this normally is a description of a bad experience , for example "we went to the park and i had a horrible time " or " I'm so tired ,today was just horrible for me" interestingly enough, awful, horrible , and terrible can all be used in the same ways , they are often used in the same ways here in the USA . Lastly, "sacred " this is synonymous with being "afraid " " I saw the big bear and felt so scared " " she wanted me to climb on the roof with her but I couldn't because I am scared of being up high (or scared of heights ) . Hope this helps .

Terrible/awful/horrible can all be used for a bad situation. Example: The food at the restaurant did not taste good. You could say: The food was terrible. The food was awful. The food was horrible. Scared is an emotion meaning frightened or afraid. Example: I was scared when I saw a snake in the grass.
