I think there is a misunderstanding in concept. I was talking about the American oral language, we call it the reduced sound. It is neither the idiom nor the slang.
Sample of Standard American Pronunciation:
" h" sound is reduced : Did he? pronounce Didee?., Does she ( Duzzy)?., Was he (Wuzzy) ?., Is he (Izzy)?., Would he (Woody)?.
- Wouldn't you (wooden chew)? t_y change to ch sound
- Could you tell (kuje tell) d_y change to j sound
- I will let you know ( I'll letcha know)
Here, you can see, these pronounciations are the sounds not the English words.
- I godda go cos its_ae. ( I got to go because it is late)
- I godda go cuz its_ae. ( I got to go because it is late)
The cos and cuz means because, where as, I've a cuz. here, it sound like I have a cousin
