I'm confused by STRESS and NOTATION, RHYTHM and PAUSE STRESS and NOTATION seem similar. So do RHYTHM and PAUSE.

The words aren't even similar. Anyway, in what context are you referring to?

They are related: stress and notation refer to the emphasis you put on certain syllable in a word. For intance, in the word "Building" the stress is in the first syllable also the root of the word: "build". Another example would be in Spanish: Papa and Papá. In the second word, the stress is in the last syllable, in the first it´s in the first syllable, therefore meaning different things (potato for the first, father for the latter) Rhythm and Pause are also related and they refer to the "musicality" you give the phrases when you speak, so to speak. In a sentence, you may need to pause at certain points, like when you find a comma or a period, and go straight when you don´t have punctuation. This reflects the fluency with which one speaks.
